MORE CANDLE FINDS!

Norah and I hit a thrift store on Friday night before our plotting session (our ultra-productive plotting session, that is). And I picked up a few more candle holders.

The first one: three arms, three holders, three 'stems' to the base. And bonus, though it doesn't show up so well in the picture, there are cutouts in the shape of stars on these beautiful black holder cups as well as on the glass that sit within them. Stars of course are used extensively as a symbol (everything from military ranking, to five star hotels, to Hollywood status). To me stars mean great joy and success – in the day, or the endeavor. So to light three candles in this holder, will certainly be powerful.  And beautiful! Can you imagine the glowing and flickering stars as I light my candles in the dark?

The second one: I also picked this one up last night. Three feet, three stems with three items (leaf and two wire spirals) on each stem. I love this design! Actually I'm going to tuck this away for my sister's birthday in July. I'll add a whole bunch of different color tealights to the gift bag and know she'll like it. WHAT? GIVE YOUR BELOVED CANDLES AWAY??? (yes, yes, I can hear you shouting). Well, when I find candles/holders so pretty and unique, I like to give them away once in awhile. And sometimes they just feel like they are meant for another as I hold them in my hands. This one I knew, right from the moment I picked it up, was sister bound. If candles carry such powerful meaning to me, such goodness and strength, then why wouldn't I want to pass them on? And when it feels like I should, how can I not? :-)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmassssss... (sing with me, people!) Cute, snow woman, eh. There's a little glass cup up the back of this holder, again perfect for a tealight candle.
